This will fasten on the bike rack channels and assist you with lifting the bike. The strap goes around the wheel and the bike is hoisted upward with the supplied paracord and stainless pulleys. See the photos and loading video below.
This is designed for use with Yakups brand rack to aid in loading heavier bikes than a regular bike. We have a hoist arm that mounts behind the rack and will allow some ease in loading heavier bikes. Not recommended for bikes over 70 lbs. Bike's that are this heavy may still require assistance from an extra person when loading.
Trikes that are heavier must have heavy duty center rail added for front wheel. This will be added to order.
The wheel strap goes on the wheel and is left on when travelling. Along with the wheel strap wrapped securely around the top wheel you have double safety. If you order this separately from a rack you may possibly need to do some minor drilling in the aluminum bike channel to affix it on your rack.
